Watch the return leg. Koh Lanta to Ao Nang is only listed for 15 Oct to 20 May and 22 Jul to 30 Sep. Bundhaya doesn’t list it from 21 May to 21 July.

By road

Minivans and cars drive to Hua Hin Pier on the mainland and cross on the car ferry to Ko Lanta Noi. Queues build at peak season and holidays, so take an early van. A bridge is planned (source).

Do ferries run to Koh Lanta in the low season?

Some do. Bundhaya lists its speedboats from Phuket, Phi Phi, Ao Nang and Railay to Koh Lanta as all year. Its Koh Lipe and small-island runs are seasonal (15 Oct to 20 May). Tigerline publishes a separate May–September monsoon timetable (checked 21 Oct 2026).

What is the cheapest way from Krabi to Koh Lanta?

A minivan, which crosses to the island on the car ferry. Bookaway listed seats from US$11.16 with At Lanta Vacation, about 2 hours, on 21 Oct 2026.

How long is the boat from Phuket to Koh Lanta?

About 1 h 30 min by speedboat (Bundhaya, from ฿1,500). The slower ferry via Phi Phi takes about 4 hours (Phi Phi Cruiser on Bookaway, from US$30.45).

How long is the boat from Phi Phi to Koh Lanta?

About 30 minutes by Bundhaya speedboat, from ฿700. The ferry takes about 1 h 30 min (Andaman Wave Master on Bookaway, from US$11.61, read 21 Oct 2026).

Is there a bridge to Koh Lanta?

Not yet. A bridge of about 1,780 m to Ko Lanta Noi is planned, with 1,080 days of work and opening expected in 2029 (Pattaya Mail, 24 Aug 2026). Until then, cars and minivans cross on the car ferry from Hua Hin Pier.
