Which Koh Lanta beach is best to stay on?

Klong Dao is 2 km from Saladan Pier in a straight line, so it is the easiest for boats and the north-end shops. Kantiang Bay and Bamboo Bay are 17–20 km away in the quieter south-west, but within 5 km of the national park lighthouse.

Can you get to Koh Lanta in the rainy season?

Yes. Bundhaya lists its speedboats from Phuket, Phi Phi and Ao Nang to Koh Lanta as running all year (checked 21 Oct 2026), and minivans cross on the car ferry from the mainland every day. The Koh Lipe and small-island speedboats are seasonal, from about mid-October to May.

How much is Mu Ko Lanta National Park?

200 baht for foreign adults and 100 baht for children aged 3–14, plus 30 baht for a car or 20 baht for a motorbike, per Thai National Parks (dated June 2026). It is open 08:30–16:30.

How do you get from Phuket to Koh Lanta?

By speedboat in about 1 h 30 min (Bundhaya, from ฿1,500), or by the slower ferry via Phi Phi in about 4 hours (Phi Phi Cruiser on Bookaway, from US$30.45, read 21 Oct 2026).

When is the best time for island trips from Koh Lanta?

Mid-October to May. The park's smaller islands, Koh Rok among them, close from 16 May to 14 October (Thai National Parks), and Bundhaya's scheduled speedboats to Koh Ngai, Koh Mook and Koh Kradan run 15 October to 20 May.
